This guide highlights some of the increasing demands for the D&A skillsets in the accounting profession by outlining some sought-after skills and frequently used D&A technologies, providing examples of courses that are well-suited to develop these skills and introduce certain technologies, and provides links to certain resources, free software, cases, data and trainings.

This guide was developed to assist universities trying to incorporate more data, analytics, and technology into their curriculum. It provides example technology to use, skillsets students would benefit from developing, example coursework, and resources to access various technology and data for free.

This playbook is digitally interactive; accordingly, it is intended to be read in a digital format and not print. The document includes some pop-ups that provide additional explanations, some URLs, and also an Excel attachment (under the paperclip in Adobe) of a blank skillset mapping template which you can use to perform a skillset to coursework mapping for their own university.
